This will be a light post to go with Fig Jam and Lime Cordial’s monthly In My Kitchen post and I could use a little help from my fellow foodies and food bloggers to help me get started with what is in my kitchen this month: a food dehydrator!
My aunt purchased this food dehydrator many years ago with the intention of creating her own dehydrated camp and trail foods but alas, it went unused in a closet. I promised her I would bring it to life! So I’m asking all of you, what are your favorite dehydrated treats and recipes? Be sure to link them below for all to enjoy.
Burrata is also in my kitchen and one recipe I love to include it with is your own homemade pomodoro dish. After cooking up those summer tomatoes in a classic sauce adorned with fresh ribbons of basil, plop a creamy ball (or half) of burrata on top. The result is very satisfying. I also like to make pomodoro sauce with a little kick (red pepper flakes added) so that the creamy cool cheese has something tackle.
